We at Mia Moto take care of the whole process when getting your motorcycle repaired through insurance. From the moment you call us, we will be there to organise and take care of the entire insurance claim process.

Below is the process you can expect when we take care of your insurance claim:

Smash Repairs - What to Expect

1.   Drop Off/Pick Up

If your motorcycle needs to be transported from the accident scene, you can direct the tow truck driver to deliver it directly to our workshop. Alternatively, we can either pick up the motorcycle from your location, or you can drop it off to us to our workshop at 5/41 Ferry Rd, Southport QLD 4215, Australia.

2.   Lodging the Claim

Once we have your motorcycle, we can help you gather all the necessary information about the accident, fill out all the paper work and arrange to lodge the claim with your insurance.

We have all the appropriate claim forms for all the insurers, so it’s as simple as coming in and sitting down with us to fill out the forms.

If you don’t have insurance and you feel you are not at fault, we are still able to help you through the whole process.

3.   Quote & Assessment

Once we have gathered all the information and lodged the claim, we will determine what the extent of the repairs will be and how much it will cost.

Once the quote for repairs has been completed, we will contact the insurer and arrange for an assessment.

4.   Insurance Approval

We will do everything we can to ensure everything is taken care of upfront so that the approval process is as quick as possible.

Once your repairs have been authorised, we will immediately commence repairs on your motorcycle. 

5.   Repair Process

Once the repairs have been authorised, we will begin by dismantling the motorcycle, ordering the replacement parts and carrying out any repairs which includes frame, fairing and paint work.

Once the motorcycle is painted, it will be buffed and polished to a mirror finish. It will then be reassembled to complete the repair process.

6.   Repair Updates

During the repair process we will send you regular updates so that you know exactly what is happening with your motorcycle, especially during more complex jobs.

7.   Wash, Dry & Final Assessment

The motorcycle is then given a final wash, polish and detail. It is then put through a final quality assurance inspection to ensure that all repairs are done to the absolute highest standard.

Your motorcycle will not leave our workshop until we are 100% satisfied with the quality of the repair.

8.   Return Drop Off/Pick Up

Once your repairs have been completed, we will make arrangements for you to pick up your motorcycle, or for us to deliver it to you.
